Two new colours, Imola Red and Carbon Black, are also available, as is a sports exhaust for the 367PS 650i.

BMW’s M6 coupe has received a new competition package, too, which brings a redesigned bonnet, new alloy wheels and new tyres. The competition pack also alters the ABS, anti-skid and suspension settings, and adds £2180 on to the standard M6’s £84,475 price.

The M3 is also getting half of the enhancements due to the 3-series in September. It will receive the same new rear lights and interior enhancements as the standard saloon and estate, but it will keep the M3’s unique bonnet, rather than getting the new facelifted version.

The German brand has also announced that its X6 flagship, the xDrive50i, will be priced from £53,930 and on sale from November.
